New innovations emerged at Intersolar: Solarday’s strategy
Interview with Antonello Mallone (CEO – Solarday Europe)
We are on day two of Intersolar Europe, the most important trade fair for the photovoltaic industry, the perfect opportunity to discover the most interesting innovations and directions in the photovoltaic market. Are there any innovations that you see as particularly promising?
“I have definitely noticed a great focus on high-performance modules this year, in particular both modules using HJT and N-type technology. This is something that particularly comforts me, because Solarday Europe has also taken this direction in terms of innovation, we will be able to offer these types of products to our customers as early as next year.
I would also like to add that during the trade fair a demand also emerged for large photovoltaic modules, which allow a nominal output of 700w – 750w peak power to be reached with just one product, these are both standard products and Glass-Glass modules.”
During Intersolar, companies have the opportunity to engage with the market. Where does Solarday stand?
“It is quite difficult to compete with large Asian groups in terms of price and production capacity, for us, it is crucial to offer the company’s values, it’s the quality that the company sells to its customers. We are able to give services and added values in terms of customer care that most Asian groups cannot offer. We focus our sales activities on selected customers who need to differentiate themselves.
However, I remain strongly optimistic about the possibility of achieving really important results in 2024.”
Solarday has achieved great things this year, starting with staff growth and the addition of new product lines, what factors led to these results?
“It is a natural consequence of growth. Faced with the strong increase in demand in Europe, we felt the need to find professionals who could ‘support this demand’ and respond to the growing demands both in Europe and in Italy.
We can therefore trace our success back to the people who make up the company, in particular the sales team that was set up.
It is also important to point out that faced with strong growth in demand for inverters in the industrial market, Solarday responded promptly with a line of inverters and batteries of its own manufacture. Next year, we will further strengthen the sales structure and the corporate structure of our headquarters in Milan in order to provide further positive responses in the market.”
