Colored modules have an efficiency of 18% and have a variety of finishing as customers can choose RAL color definition. The manufacturer offers a 30 years performance guarantee.
The Italian company Solarday is one of the few manufacturers left that is still making standard and colored solar modules in Europe with a capacity of 200 MW annually. From their headquarters in Lombardy, Italy, they have been manufacturing all kinds of customized solar modules.
Focusing on their Building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) range including glass-glass, transparent, roof tile modules and their best-seller: colored modules, they manifest the uncountable applications this kind of product has, making modules perfect to “fully blend in with the aesthetic of any kind of structure”. A really customizable and appealing solar roof that fully blends in with the aesthetics of any structure.
The topic appeals to many people because not all property owners are able or willing to install classic photovoltaic systems on their roofs, especially when it comes to monument protection requirements; and are therefore looking for alternatives. The Italian manufacturer is well aware of their wishes and needs, as they have been offering modules that have already been used in hundreds of projects for more than 17 years.
With this experience, Solarday has developed the most efficient methods to produce modules in any color, from brick red to shades of green, gold, and grey.
Depending on the size of the modules, they can have 60 or 72 monocrystalline PERC solar cells and dimensions ranging from 1665 x 1002 x 40 millimeters to 1979 x 1002 x 40 millimeters with a weight between 19 and 22 kilograms. And the 60 cells panel has even been approved for the fire protection test and has on its glass a very good coating for ARC <20000 Cd/m2.
These colored modules are available with wattages of 290 W - 350 W and can reach an efficiency of up to 17.98%. The thickness of the frontal glass is 3,2 mm, with operating temperatures ranging from - 40 to 85 degrees Celsius and a power temperature coefficient is -0.39% per degree Celsius.
The company offers a 25-year linear power output guarantee and a 20-year product guarantee, both extendible for golden partners. But the best part of these Italian-made modules is not only their warranties, it's their low carbon footprint certified by French certification body Certisolis.
Solarday is not just another manufacturer of photovoltaic modules, they offer a solution to the creative challenges, but also to the size constraints, which hinder the creative control of architects.
"BIPVs are going to help the global climate crisis heal by providing the building industry with accessible and sustainable construction materials" said by one of their managers.
